Simon Says ,,, Domi's Sketch

Good Morning all :-) This is the last day of my holiday so I am going to have a wander on Oxford St for some last bits and bobs :-) I will be home tomorrow so hope to catch up with you all over the weekend.

This week, we have a sketch for you designed by our very own teamie, Domi and have all used Penny Black stamps. Penny Black very kindly sent the DT some images to use for this challenge so a huge thank you to Penny Black for being so kind and generous ! The Simon Says Stamp Store sells a humongous range of Penny Black stamps - check them out ! If you have any Penny Black stamps, we would love to see them but if not, we would still love you to join us !


For my card I chose to use this fab new Penny Black stamp, this one is called La Soiree. Very little Copic colouring here, almost everything is decoupaged and paper pieced :-) I should have taken an angled piccy ,,,,, The papers are Crate Paper Restoration, I love these fabulous quality and designs. I used a Spellbinders Large Deckled Edge Rectangle die cut , I inked around the edges with Stormy Sky Distress ink and used Star Dust stickles for sparkle :-) I added a few Robins Nest Dew Drops and Prima flowers, the leaves are made using a Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punch.

Totally Papercrafts and Stamp Something Challenges

I combined the challenges as time was running out before my trip and I didn't manage to get all my DT cards done ,,,

For this card I used a new release image from Penny Black, this is from the Garden Friends clear set. I coloured the image with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky Distress Ink, The papers are old Funky Fairys and the butterfly is a MS Monarch punch. I also used a MS border punch , some ribbon from my drawer and a charm ,,, finished off with loads of star dust stickles :-)

Simon Says ,,,,,,,, Mother's Day/Girlie Challenge


Another Scheduled post :-) I am in London on holiday and having a fab time :-) This weekend I will be going to the NEC and meeting teamies Jo, Heather, Dawny P and hopefully we will get to meet up with Debby too :-)I know several other blog buddies are going too ,, Cathy, Vicky, Kath ,,, I CAN'T WAIT !! :-) If any of you are going I would love to meet you :-)

Ok ,, moving on to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge ,,

It is Mother's Day in the UK on April 3rd so I think there will be quite a few challenges with a similar theme ,, lots of opportunity to combine !! :-)

MOTHER'S DAY/GIRLY ,,, nice and easy :-)

It will be Mother's Day in the UK on Sunday 3rd April and in the rest of the world on 9th May :-) Not all of us are lucky enough to have our Mum's still with us so we would like to see cards for a special girl in your life too :-)

This week the DT have all used Basic Grey products on their creations, you don't have to to join in but if you have them we would love to see them :-)

For my card I used this fab Time For the Bubbly stamp set from My Favorite Things. I coloured the image with Copics, masked the image then sprayed the background using my fab Air Brush and decoupaged the bath, ( I should have taken a piccy from an angle to show that better !! ) The papers are Basic Grey Hopscotch, I paper pieced the floor and used some sanded coredinations for the rug. The lovely 'garter' ribbon is from Tim Holtz Lavish Trimmings ,, perfect for this image I think ,,, and I added my fave Star Dust Stickles on the bubbles and mirror. I used a Spellbinders Labels 8 nestie for the sentiment and added a few Robins Nest Dew Drops to finish.



edited ,, I was lucky enough to meet up with Debby on a recent visit to Guildford :-) We spent a few lovely hours chatting ,, it was so lovely to meet you Debby and hope we manage to meet up again on Sunday !! :-)

Oldie But Goodie Colour + Papertake Weekly Challenges

Good Morning all :-) I am still on holiday in London and having a lovely time :-)

This is my 2nd card as GD for the Oldie But Goodie Challenge, I didn't have time to make a different card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge so I have combined the 2.

The theme on the Oldie But Goodie Challenge is a lovely Colour Challenge, We are sponsored by Stampelkallan and the will be giving one lucky entrant 5 gorgeous stamps.

MUM/GIRLY




I used this Oldie But Goodie Gruffie :-) This one is called Bear-ied in Paperwork. I coloured the image with Copics and inked around the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. The papers are from a Basic Grey Hopscotch paper pad, the button is also BG, I used a few dew drops, which are not easy to see but they are there,, a blob of Glossy Accents on his nose, some ribbon, twine and a paper clip to finish :-)

Stamp Something and Totally Papercrafts Challenges

I am combining challenges today ,,, not something I like to do really ,,, but I am still away and I just didn't have time to do all my DT cards ,,, so I cut corners too where possible :-)

Isn't this CUTE !! I love this Sugar Nellie Big Sister image ,,, very cute :-) I coloured the image with Copics and inked around the edges with pink chalk ink. The paper is Kaiser Craft, I kept this really simple and just added an organza ribbon, a heart shaped button and a few dew drops to finish.

Gerda very kindly gave me this image a little while ago so I just HAD to use this Santa's Chimney one :-) I coloured the image with Copics and added some Polar White Flower Soft to his hat trim and pom pom and glitter to the icy chimney. The papers are Crate Snowy Day,, love these ,,, :-) I added a ribbon and a MS snowflake and thats all ,,,, after spending HOURS removing embellies last Christmas I am making cards that will fit into an envelope !!! :-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY :-)


It is my 50th Birthday today ,,, so I just couldn't resist setting this theme :-)

I used this very cute House Mouse stamp from this Balloon Birthdays unmounted set. What better cake for a mouse than a cheese cake !!!! :-) I coloured the image with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky distress ink. The papers are Basic Grey, not sure which paper pad but I think it's called Cupcake ,,,. I embossed the blue panel with Cuttlebug folder, added some ribbon, a few Robins Nest Dew Drops and an American Crafts Brad . The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Tags and Tickets set .

Aww ,,, he is putting alot of effort into blowing out his candle eh !! :-)

I just HAD to use this HM stamp ,,, this one is from an unmounted Joanna Sheen set , aren't they cute ,, so happy they found some yummy berries to eat :-) I coloured them with Copics and inked around the edges with Distress inks then added my fave Star Dust Stickles. I am not sure who made the papers ,,,, I just added some ribbon, 3 Dew Drops , a butterfly and stamped the sentiment from the same HM set.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge ,,,,Welcome Spring

For my card I used this very cute House Mouse Blossoming Friendship stamp, coloured with Copics, inked around the edges with Stormy Sky Distress ink and Star Dust stickled. The papers are a mixture of Wild Rose Studio and Basic Grey. Iadded some Dew Drops and some Prima flowers ,, a ribbon from the local haberdashery.

Isn't that kitten CUTE :-) ,,, awww ,, I know that if any of my cats saw these mice it wouldn't be the petals they would be playing with !!!!

Stamp Something ,,,,, Cream and Green

Hi again :-) I am back with my card for the Stamp Something Challenge :-) I am writing this really quickly as I am going to the hairdresser in a few mins ,, I should have scheduled ,,,:-)

This week the theme is

CREAM AND GREEN

As you know I do love my meeces ,, and this Blowing Dandelions stamp is just sooo cute, I also used a Hero Arts Dandelion stamp to create the 'floor' and the background paper, which was a fairly plain one from Kaiser Craft. I coloured the image with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky and Forest Moss Distress Inks. I kept this really simple and just used Star Dust Stickles for sparkle ! The sentiment is a Penny Black stamp.

Hi and Good Morning all :-) Hope you all have a lovely weekend of crafting ahead :-) I will be going to the UK tomorrow for 3 weeks so I won't be popping around to see you all :-) I have a few scheduled posts ,,,, not as many as I should have so unfortunately some DT cards will be missed ,,,;-/

Anyway ,, moving on to the Totally Papercrafts Challenge, this week the theme is


SHAPED CARDS ,,,,Don't be square :-)

We are sponsored by the lovely Melissa from Meljen Designs and she will be giving one lucky entrant a choice of 4 digi images :-)


The DT were given a choice of digi images to use and I chose this fab Noah's Arc. I thought it would be easy to make it into a shaped card ,,, and it was !!! :-) There is a whole set of images ,, Noah himself and loads of animals ,, it is a fab set and would make a lovely play set for a child ,,, if you had loads of spare time to make one :-) The hull of the noat was paper pieced with Crate Paper and shaded a little with Copics, I then dotted black enamel accents to make 'nails' . It was shaped using an embossing tool so it does look rounded IRL. I made another door, used a brad for the handle and popped a Simon Exclusives Zebra in there. The roof was coloured with copics and decoupaged, the port hole windows were made with Glossy Accents and then I dotted Star Dust Stickles here and there for 'rain' :-)

Simon Says ,,,,, Anything Goes ,,, :-)



Hi all ,,, well another Wednesday has arrived and that means it's time for a new theme on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge ,,, but before moving onto that I would like to say 'Hello' to our new DT girlie, Melissa :-) Welcome to the team !! :-)
AND Happy Birthday to teamie Heather, she is 21 again !! Woo Hooo :-) Hope you have a lovely day with lots of cards and cake :-)

As always our lovely boss Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a £50 spree to her fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store and with all the new goodies still pouring through the delivery hatch there is just sooo much to choose from :-)


The DT have all used stamps from Unity on their creations but you don't have to to join in :-)


For my card I used this lovely Humble and Gentle stamp ,,, I paper pieced the flower and leaves and just used a copic pen for the ladybird. I inked around the edge with Tumbled Glass distress ink and added Star Dust Stickles around the edges , then added Glossy Accents on the ladyird. The papers are Basic Grey Hopscotch and I added a few red Kaiser Craft pearls , some brown ribbon and some Jillibean twine thread. The button is from Basic Grey ,,, I have no idea where the sentiment came from and think it would have looked better without ,,, but when I tried to remove it it was tearing the paper ,,, :-( I think thats everything !!!

Oldie But Goodie Baby Challenge ,, GD card

I was thrilled to be asked to be a GD for this month on the Oldie but Goodie Challenge :-) thanks girls xx

For the next fortnight the theme is

BABY ,, cute :-)


This Penny Black Baby Hammock stamp was one of the very first ones I bought and is still one of my faves :-) I coloured the image with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky distress ink. The papers are Kaiser Craft and I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch , some ribbon, a ribbon slider and a few Robins Nest Dew Drops.


I made a tag to write a greeting on that could slide behind the welcome baby sentiment :-)
